Philip Michael Salciccia, age 80, passed away, early Saturday morning, on June 18, 2022, after a long illness. Philip was born June 2, 1942, in Westchester County, New York to Americo and Anna Salciccia. He resided in Venice, Florida for many years, prior to moving to Graham, North Carolina, and was originally from Yonkers, New York.
In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Salciccia, who was his world and he missed her with all his heart; and his brother, Anthony Salciccia.
He is survived by his brother, Charles B. Salciccia of New York; daughters, Anna Salciccia-Passarelli (Frank) of North Carolina and Charlotte Hanson (Mark) of New York; bonus sons; Michael Pendegast of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Richard Pendegast of Illinois; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Philip loved going to thrift shops and finding treasures. He had a great eye for art and furniture and loved finding that perfect deal. He was an accomplished woodworker and artist who enjoyed working with his hands and many tools. He was a staunch Republican but respected anyone who he thought was good for our country, and wasn’t afraid to tell you, his views. He loved reading, especially his art and home decorating magazines. He was a great cook and had a passion for animals, especially his beloved dogs, Nico and Mac. You could often find him with a glass of Merlot, talking about the love of his life, his wife Gail, who he missed dearly, and we are sure, finally back in her arms, toasting being back together again!
Arrangements entrusted to Triad Cremation and Funeral Service of Greensboro, NC.
