Elliott Maurice Stewart was born April 10, 1939 in Greensboro, NC to the late Samuel Jefferson and Mable Haith Stewart. He departed this life on October 12, 2020. Elliott attended the Greensboro Public Schools, graduating from James B. Dudley High School in 1958. He worked for many years as a Shift Supervisor with Carolina Builders Supply, in Greensboro, NC. Elliott loved spending time with his family and made sure that every year there was a family reunion with both of his parents’ siblings and offspring represented. His true passion was playing golf with family and friends. He was a proud member of Morning Star Lodge #691 P.H.A and enjoyed fellowship with his Masonic Brothers. Elliott was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Jefferson Stewart; mother, Mable Haith Stewart; brother and sister-in-law, Perry and Hester Stewart; sister, Patricia Stewart Coleman, and daughter, Teresa Cooper, and grandson, Darrell Stewart, Jr. (DJ). He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Linda Liggins Stewart; daughters, Robin Hall, Sanya Stewart (Johnny) Oliver, Juanetta Liggins-Chamblee (David), and Lisa Cooper of Greensboro, NC, and Sharon Stewart Hairston of Lithonia Georgia; sons, Darrell Stewart and Derrick Siler, of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Howard (Pamela) Stewart and Terry Stewart, of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Debra Inzar, of High Point, NC; Elliott also leaves, 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of cousins other relatives and many friends.
