Wayne Anthony Ferguson ,70, of McLeansville, NC, went to be with the Lord,
Friday, April 13, 2018 at Beacon Place in Greensboro, NC.
He was born in Danville, Va, on June 6, 1947, to the late Calvin Coolidge
and Elsie Motley Ferguson and graduated from Southside High School in 1965.
He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force and was
employed by the United States Postal Service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers, David
Ferguson, Frederick 'Freddy' Ferguson, and Donald Ferguson and his
grandson, Vernon Randolph, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his four children, Crystal Parr
(Alexandria, Va.), Monica Glass (Gregory) (Blairs, Va.), Wayna Morant
(Greensboro, NC), and David Wayne Ferguson (Shanita) (Ranson, WV); three
brothers, Calvin L. Ferguson (Danville, Va.), Gregory Ferguson (Sylvia)
(Blairs, Va.), and John Venable (Danville, Va.); three sisters, Cynthia M.
Lewis (Portsmouth, Va.), Denese F. Martin (David) (Martinsville, Va.), and
Faye Harper (Asheville, NC); and two aunts, Evelyn F. Williamson
(Greensboro, NC) and Rosetta Ferguson (Danville, Va). He also leaves seven
grandchildren, a great grandchild, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many other
family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, April 27, 2018 at
Inheritors Ministries, 230 Grassy Creek Rd., Martinsville, Va. 24112. A
private burial service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Danville
