GREENSBORO- Lisa Ketchum, 58, died Friday, April 6, 2018, at home, with her husband at her side. Lisa struggled for six years with the effects of, and treatment for, glioblastoma, a brain tumor. Lisa was born in Asheboro, NC to the late Evelyn Jennings and late Clifford Jennings. She grew up in the Cedar Falls and Asheboro area, attending Eastern Randolph High School, and graduating from Western Carolina University. She lived in High Point, NC for several years while working in the treasurer's office at Wake Forest University Medical Center. Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Kim Ketchum, who was her daily passionate advocate and caregiver for the final six years of her life. Additional survivors are her sister, Victoria Routh, Randleman, NC; nieces Meghan Routh, Snow Camp, NC; great-niece Haven Greeson, Snow Camp, NC, and niece Jami Routh, High Point, NC. Kim wishes to publicly thank the continuous ongoing support of Lisa's primary care provider, Dr. Talia Aron, for her expertise, compassion, and unwavering accessibility. Dr. Aron and the nursing support team of Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro provided everything humanly possible to ease Lisa's suffering and offer comfort at all hours of the day and night in the final days of her life.
