Johnny McCuiston, a Southern boy to the core, entered Heaven on March 10, 2018, at 9:20AM.
Born to the late John McCuiston of Rockingham, NC, and the late Helen Jacobs of Greensboro, NC, on October 30, 1943, he was preceded in death by his beloved Grandmother, Della Barnes Craven, who led him to adulthood. Both carried one another close to their hearts. His brothers, James Barker and Wayne Funderburke, both of Greensboro, and sister Elisa Jacobs of Thomasville, also preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Teresa McCuiston Hand (Tommy) of Reidsville and Selina McCuiston Worley (Michael) of Marshall, sister Linda McCuiston Henslee of Charlotte and brother Mark McCuiston (Kim) of Bolivia.
Johnny was employed by Borum and Associates as a land surveyor. He began his career after serving in the Army, stationed in Germany, where he accepted the Lord, with whom he now resides. Johnny had a quick wit, was a great story teller and was musically talented. He will be remembered for his singing and guitar playing as well as for his charismatic personality. His idea of a perfect day was a good catch of fish. The echoes of laughter he created will long be heard in the wind.
Go rest high on that mountain, Johnny, for your work on earth is done.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, March 16, 2018, at 11:00AM to remember and to celebrate the life of Johnny.
