Dura Jeanne Siebert McCulley (Dee Gee), 87, passed away on August 8, 2018 while residing at River Landing at Sandy Ridge. The first child of James and Dura Siebert, she was born December 3, 1930 in Winston-Salem.
Dee Gee married Edward Eller McCulley (Ed) in Salisbury, NC in 1952 where they lived until moving to Greensboro in 1964. They were married for 42 years until Ed’s death in 1995. Dee Gee later resided in Pawleys Island, SC from 1995 until returning to the Greensboro area in 2013 to be closer to her three children: Robert McCulley, Patrick McCulley and Mary McCulley. She is survived by sisters Gail Honeycutt, Sallie Moser, and predeceased by sister Sylvia White, and brother Jim Siebert, Jr.
Dee Gee was proud to have finished up her studies begun at Winthrop College in 1948 by earning a Psychology BA degree at UNC Greensboro in 1980 at the age of 50. She will be remembered for her kindness to others.
The family extends our deepest gratitude to the caring staff at River Landing, as well as Hospice of the Piedmont.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 11 at River Landing. The Service will be preceded by Visitation with family at 1 pm, and will be followed by a reception. Please send all memorials to River Landing in Dee Gee's memory.
