Dainelle Lavon Barber, age 39, of Greensboro went home to eternal rest on the morning of March 10, 2023 when God called.
He was born to the late Norma D. Barber on March 30, 1983 in Montgomery County, Dayton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma D. Barber and grandmother, Lula Mae Barber.
He was a loving husband, stepfather, son, brother, and uncle. His passion was for cooking, dogs and fast cars. It was clear to all that knew him he was the life of the party. When he moved to North Carolina in 2018, he joined the New Jerusalem Cathedral Church in 2019 Where he received Jesus Christ and was Baptized. Big Man we love you and you will truly be missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lashanda Williams Barber; four stepchildren, Antonio Hemingway, Antoine Hemingway, Anthonie Hemingway, and Ariana Hemingway; his father, Fred L. Mitchell; his grandmother, Evelyn Jean Mitchell; sisters, Twinette Knight, Laquannis Knight, DC Knight and Freniqua Mitchell; brothers, Giovannis Barber and David Knight; brother -in-law, Michael Williams; sister-in-law, Kenyata McCoy; and numerous other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at New Jerusalem Cathedral, 1822 Sharpe Road, Greensboro, NC with Bishop Kevin A. Williams officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
