Thomas "Tommy" N. Kontoulas passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents; Nick J. Kontoulas and Helen H Holbrook, he is survived by Sisters; Sylvia Kontoulas Paschal and Kathy Kontoulas Spivey, Nieces; Tracy Stanley (Patrick), Ashley Paschal (Kevin McCollum), Great Nephew; Nick Stanley, Great Niece; Taylor Stanley and Special Aunt Bessie Kontoulas Athens from Georgia. 

He was born in Guilford County on September 29, 1945.

Tommy retired from Guilford County Tax Department after 15 years after running the "famous" foot long hot dog business at Nick's Cafe for many years. He loved cats, reading, walking, classic movies and an occasional joke or two on someone. He loved to decorate his home.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Tommy will be missed by family, and many extended friends. He was a 32-year kidney transplant survivor. Donations to the National Kidney Association or the American Cancer Association would be appreciated. Special thanks to Annie Penn Cancer Center and special thanks to Dr. Martin Webb.
