                     Lucinda Clanton daughter of the late Beaulah Mary Cooper Clanton Jones & Joseph Percell Clanton was born on December 17, 1956 in Nash County. Lucinda entered into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father in the early hours of November 15, 2017 surrounded by her family.
                    Lucinda attended & graduated from Northern Nash Senior High School in Rocky Mount, NC. After graduation Lucinda started a life in Washington, DC where she resided until the 1980’s at which time moved to Greensboro, NC to be with her family.
                   Lucinda was a thoughtful kind person and found joy in caring those she loved. She loved perfume and scented things. She enjoyed writing poetry, spending time with family, laughter, good food and watching crime dramas, classic movies & westerns. 
                    Lucinda was a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, which she revealed attending until the declined of her health.
                    Lucinda was preceded in death by Three sisters Shirley Clanton, Mattie Clanton and Regina Clanton Brown, Two Brothers Joseph Thomas Clanton and Percy Lee Cooper and Two nephews Cardie Clanton and Jimmy Lee Clanton, Jr.
                    Lucinda leaves to cherish her memory A Loving and Devoted Fiancé Joe Garrett of the home, Two sisters Alberta C. Lynch and Jackie D. Clanton-Sims(Jeffrey).One Brother Jimmy Lee Clanton (Cynthia) all of Greensboro, North Carolina. Four Nieces Terria Lynch of Durham, NC, Yvonne Clanton of Huntersville, NC, Natori Clanton of Greensboro, NC and Toni Clanton of Gainesville, FL. Two nephews Kevin Lynch of Phoenix AZ and Jerrod D. Clanton of Washington, DC. and a host of relatives, loved ones and friends.
